  • Where Are We?

I want a copy of protectmarriage.com’s black list so I can know where to shop.

“Make a donation of a like amount to ProtectMarriage.com which will help us correct this error,” reads the letter. “Were you to elect not to donate comparably, it would be a clear indication that you are in opposition to traditional marriage. … The names of any companies and organizations that choose not to donate in like manner to ProtectMarriage.com but have given to Equality California will be published.”

There are two reasons a political group could be doing this. One is that they are extortionists. The other is that they are politically desperate extortionists. The only variable is whether they really care about the issue; the constant is extortion.

And extortion is a federal crime.

See, we’re at the end of the time when the far right gets to drive the country from the back seat. These clowns deserve nothing but derision.

  • I think they just targeted Equity California’s donor list.  What a
bunch of asswipés.  It does make you want to start a sort of reverse
    boycott, doesn’t it?

  • Holy crap. That something illegal alright.

  • I rarely care about politics, most of it seems so temporary, as far as the history of the world. However, I am sick to my stomach re: prop 8. I donated to No on 8, and I never donate for political purposes. I’ve also decided to volunteer. I’ve done both of things because I think prop 8 is bigotry. And these fuckos seems so HAPPY about it, too. It churns my guts. and what you’ve posted? Ugh. It makes me really fucking angry. Hipocracy.

  • I thought you were supposed to laugh at clowns in amusement?
