  • my personal favorite:

“How many Frenchmen does it take to defend Paris? No one knows, it’s never been tried.” That was certainly amusing.

  • Hmmm…  I find it ironic and laughable that Ivins gripes about American’s lack of historical knowledge after she herself shows she didn’t know that Lafayette helped the US during the REVOLUTIONARY war…NOT WW1.  Please Molly, if you’re going to attempt to be snide, at least TRY to get your facts right.  So much for the “genius from Austin.”

    :shakes his head:

Standard Ivens material from what I’ve read.  If she were worried as much about knowing what she was talking about as she was about getting off a quick sarcastic one-liner she’d be a much better read.  But then, entertainment comes in many forms.  Her and Limbaugh should do a tour together, they’re a perfect example of what happens when Attitude-Over-Substance.

  • Well, *I* liked it.

    Thanks for the link.

  • Oh don’t get me wrong, as far as entertainment value sure, I liked it.

  • Ok…I’m still bugged about this…but instead of taking up more space here, I’ll spew about it on my own weblog.
