There were a ton here in Ann Arbor, my beloved ProtestLand … unfortunately, I was at my place of employment trying to find new and interesting ways to get the public to read about the protests, rather than actually being IN a protest. Which was more difficult than you could imagine, seeing as we didn’t send any reporters or photographers to either Lansing or Ann Arbor’s protest because we were too busy covering Tiger Fest and the auto show. First, the Tigers SUCK. Second, they’re CARS … I mean, get over it.
Say it with me now … Sigh.
And a Big Up to Gloriana_Regina for trying to affect change from within the journalism industry. Sorry it didn’t work out, I’m sure the auto show and the sports game were overwhelming political influences to overcome.
I think we need to start bombing our own protests. If the media only respond to gore, we should give them some.
Marco just might have something there.
Heh.
(oh, and does (loudly) verbally protesting the war in a daycare facility (where I work) count as a real protest…?)
