  • Last night I went to the movie theater, thinking I’d watch either of two movies.

The dilemma: ‘The Bourne Identity,’ or ‘Star Wars: Episode II.’ I opted for Star Wars, which is a fun movie. But that’s not the point of this ‘blog.

I asked myself this question: If it was 1978, one year after the first Star Wars movie came out, and someone had asked me if, in the year 2002, I’d hesitate in the slightest over going to a Star Wars sequel, the answer would have been an immediate NO!

Funny how things change. ‘Bourne’ lost the coin toss, but it was close.

  • you’ll like bourne. it was goooood value for your buck. and it’s taken you this long to see SW2? obviously you weren’t clamouring to see it?

  • I never saw ep 1 in the theater.

Thankfully ep 2 has beautiful cinematography (courtesy of the computers), Jar-Jar Binks casts the vote that gives the evil emperor his police powers, and YODA KICKS ASS!

  • I took my stuffed dog to the theatre when I saw Star Wars in 77.  Think I should take him again?

  • the puppet can root for the animated puppet.  (the small animated puppet)

  • i can honestly say I never saw a single star wars in all my 19 years of living till about a month ago when a friend of mine bought tickets and I stood in line for about 3 hours outside one of Seattles theaters. See I’m from Hawaii so it sucks more not to know where one can walk to just get a cup of coffee. To say the least, it was amusing, now if I could understand what the hell was going on…:)

  • We’ll have to remedy that choice pronto. Bourne Identity will be good — totally looking forward to it. But yes, Star Wars is fun (that’s a good adjective).

  • I haven’t seen it yet either Homey, why is that? I mean, I liked ‘Menace’ very much (it was good to see the Jedi kick some bootie), but I’m just not…what’s the word I’m looking for…RABID to see this one.

Now LOTR on the other hand…INCOMING!
