  • Fudge Brownies
    (a/k/a Marcia’s Brownie Recipe)

This recipe is perfect, unless you substitute barley flour at the behest of your non-wheat-eating friend, and accidentally add baking soda instead of powder.

    1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 pkg (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
    1 2/3 c sugar
    1 1/4 c all purpose flour
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    3 eggs
1 c chopped nuts (if desired)

Heat oven to 350F. Heat margarine and chocolate ships in 3 qt saucepan
stirring constantly, until melted. Beat in remaining ingredients until
smooth; stir in nuts. Spread in greased rectangular pan 13″x9″x2″.

Bake until center is set, about 30 minutes; cool completely. Cut into bars. 36 brownies.

  • I should perhaps add that this recipe comes from Marcia, one of the administrators of TinyTIM.

  • Wait a minute. You said “Beat in remaining ingredients”, so I did, and then it says to “Stir in nuts”. But they’re already IN THERE!!!

So what do I do now???

  • Oh, and what about the GREEN version? (When do you stir in the buds?)

  • I didn’t take you for a brownie person.  I’m always into a good recipe though!

  • Add green the way you always add green to any baking project:

Melt the butter, add the green, let simmer for a while, either filter out green bits or leave them in for extra texture.

Kids, just say no to drugs.

  • You have experience in the kitchen, Homer. I’m impressed.

  • I can do about three things in the kitchen: make a mess, clean up, and brownies.

  • Are there any special tricks for telnetting to tinytim?

Whenever I try it, using various telnet clients and term settings it just doesn’t look right.  I think there’s a lack of linefeeds or something.
