Xanga: Ads
A friend of mine tells me that her email updates of my site contain ads.
Big, honkin’ ads.
Around *my* content.
Posted on a lifetime account, that is also ‘true,’ whatever that means.
I don’t get to choose what the ads are, and I don’t get a kickback.
So tell me again why I should be helping Xanga make money?

I noticed that too
And the emailed subscriptions update has ads related to the “new” xanga sites –> http://weblog.xanga.com/thexangateam/659258746/momaroo-and-more.html
Why did xanga do these new sites?……
You’re kidding? UGGGH. I really hate that crap.
That’s slightly annoying.
Advertising is usually defended by the claim that it alerts the needy to the presence of goods. Just throwing that in, disregard the horns. Seriously though, I can’t come to a final position on the tolerate-hate continum on this. I mention my son Ira and get five offers for financial advice, though neither of us have any money.
