Aspie
So someone handed me a link to Youtube trailer for ‘Mozart and the Whale.’ It’s a movie about people with Asperger’s Syndrome. It looks pathetic, but I’ll find it and watch it anyway.
But the real reason I’m posting this is that all kinds of Aspies are talking to each other on YouTube. For instance:
And, most especially, the video that inspired me to post this: This one. She has embedding turned off, so I can only link to it. Go look now. She’s wrestling with it in all the good, interesting ways. And look what else she does.

lol the bikiniartist site was funny (she has some other videos on youtube as well i noticed – but i guess she had an earlier one on asperger’s syndrome? she alludes to it, but i could not find it….)
and interesting when you think, before the power of posting to such a widespread audience, how likely is it that very many people would see these videos? or for instance non-mainstream music, etc….
I am aware of the criticisms, thanks though! All of our therapy sessions happen in the home, with me there to help, and there are no aversives used ever. We don’t try suppress his stims either in therapy. We do use positive reinforcement and he’s doing great with that.
I fortunately live in a really great area for these services.
Oh, by the way, it’s been said several times that I most likely have Asperger’s.
