Second Second Life
I deleted Second Life for a while, because it was making me depressed. Too much possibility and too little interesting.
But I went back and found some interesting. Some political stuff, a writer’s group, a few cool places. Some things I found today:
Yes, a sci-fi sofa. And:
Not only do you have to buy the windsurfer, but you have to buy the surf, too.

lol!
Do you have to buy the wind, too?
well dang now that someone i actually know is in SL, maybe I’ll give it another go
Can you buy a PC in Second Life and surf the web?
And if so, how far will it let you recurse?
If I can buy my own SecondLife PC (or Mac) can I make it run all the software I want perfectly, and let me use it hanging out at a beautiful Second Life coffee bar on a tropical SecondLife island? Well sure.
All I could find are computers that play back stuff (pictures, sound, movies), that can send email, and that appear when you chat. Normally, in SL, when you chat, your hands animate typing when you’re typing. So there are plenty of keyboard animations to replace this default, because it’s really kind of goofy.
Like sean says: It’s really a huge chat system, which is fine unless you don’t have a good graphics card in your computer.
i wonder how much it costs to raped by a unicorn?
