On the Biofuel Front…
Here’s a guy growing algae for biofuels. He’s using sea water and exhaust from a power plant. The algae acts as a living filter: 80% of CO2 and 85% of NOX are filtered out. The algae is a much more efficient crop for use as a biofuel than other oil-producing plants.
Take away message: If your industry breathes out CO2 exhaust and you’re not using it to grow more fuel, you’re not making money.

Thankfully, I think “green” may get fast-forwarded because there are smart people out there. I guess European businesses have now sold almost $100 BILLION in clean-coal technology to the Chinese (sorry US capitalists) and almost $10 BILLION in wind energy stuff to the US! (sorry US capitalists). No wonder the Euro is kicking the dollar’s ass….
Yeah, and we’re stuck here arguing whether we should include creationism in science curricula.
