i wonder which is being more exalted...?
You know I always thought that pro MF gear was way out of reach, but then I realized that a used system, complete with a choice of backs, winder and portrait lens, could be had at $700-1000 depending on condition (we're talking about RZ series autoexposure and electronic shutter). Seriously! Now considering that the istD with kit lens is around that price (including a big ass memory card), honestly, I'd rather have a film MF and scan. It's also nice to just look at slides on a lightbox anyway.
