  • Lake Union Waterfront

    This is a bit of the east shore of Lake Union.

    One of the things I like about photography in the twilight is that long exposures add luminance to colors you would ordinarily see as dark. I call them 'shadow colors,' and they're especially obvious opposite sunsets and sunrises. The radiant quality of the light bounces into dark corners, as opposed to directional light which creates shadows. I think this is my favorite time of day to shoot, as long as I have a tripod.
