  • Uh...I wasn't aware that people who had memoirs went shopping for writers on EBay. Anyway, anybody want to bet this guy has gambling debts?

  • Excellent.

And why not advertise your ghost-writing expertise on eBay? It's free and it's as good of a place as any, I suppose...

  • Well, it seems unlikely that there are people who are a. proud enough of their accomplishments to write memoirs, b. rich enough to pay five grand to have them written, and c. humble enough to dig through eBay offers for the guy who will leave their legacy to the world. If you're writing a memoir that enough people will buy to justify five thousand dollars of initial investment, or rich and eccentric enough to throw away five thousand playing with your own vanity on a book not many people will buy, you probably don't have to look too far for ghostwriters, certainly not on an eBay auction. The only category that leaves open is pompous delusional idiots with too much money and an exaggerated sense of their own fame or importance. And I don't know if Anna Nicole Smith or former Survivor stars shop on eBay. Sure, it's possible, but the auction words itself as though there's a good chance it'll happen.
