  • I wrapped myself up in plastic. I went to Briano’s, got a double tall soy latte. Went to Quizno’s, got a sammich.

Came home. Worked out a bug in a plugin I’m writing. Answered some emails. Read some usenet. Wrote some checks for bills.

Discovered that a friend needs a place, so he’ll probably be living here for at least 4-6 months. Reprieve! Don’t have to worry (as much) about housemate #3. Now for #4…

Went out again to get some groceries. NPR on the headphones.

I hate Safeway. Nothing safe about it. Flourescent lights and processed food. I have to chortle when I see the ‘health food’ section. I wouldn’t go except it’s closer than the good store, and it was raining.

  • Are you collecting housemates ))

  • *lol at Safeway ~ I will say this for them though: They gave me more training (a full shift, plus off-site testing) to do my job (bagging groceries!) than my current employer (printing plant and digital imaging) gives it’s employees. Well now I can tell the baggage clerk “Hey! Don’t put that soap in with my chicken! Wassamatta You?”

  • i grew up in oak harbor, which is this overpopulated little navy community pretending to be dutch, and safeway was the good, classy grocery store. the only other grocery stores in town were an ennen’s (which was the run-of-the-mill grocery store) and an old, run-down, smelly thriftway next to an abandoned ex-sprouse ritz. oh and of course the commissary, but we weren’t navy. i was utterly shocked to come out into the real world and find out that safeway was run-of-the-mill.

now i’m in love with larry’s. =O) though shopping there is a treat because prices are higher. also a fan of Haggen’s up north of us (Top Foods in the Seattle area).

  • mmmmm…Larry’s.  They carry burt’s bees lipbalm.

I was never quite so buggy as when I worked all day under flourescant lights…shiver.

  • no – wait. You wrapped yourself in plastic?

  • Paul… I LOVE you dood.

It’s raining buckets of warm water here in cancun, makes the cappucino a very nice thang.

    Sip a latte for me.

  • I wanna be you for a day.

  • Flourescent lights: the handiwork of Satan.  Our school library is covered in the things and you can hardly stay to read or enjoy your books because a headache starts if you do.
